As a Fitness Manager (FM) at Club Fitness, your mission is to uphold our core values of CARE: Community, Action, Recognition, and Experience. You will lead and empower the Personal Training team to deliver an exceptional fitness experience to our members. Your role includes hiring, continuous training, development, and effective coaching. Adaptability to the ever-evolving fitness industry, daily production and results, are key aspects of this role.
Compensation for this Position Includes:
- Base pay is $40,000 annually monthly bonus opportunity
- Ability to personal train clients, during non-working hours
Primary Working Hours: Monday-Friday with one Saturday rotation per month
Responsibilities
Leadership and Team Development: Lead and inspire the Personal Training team to excel by setting clear standards and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Encourage teamwork, cooperation, and mutual respect among team members.
Training and Development: Identify training needs and provide ongoing development opportunities for Personal Trainers. Offer coaching, guidance, and constructive feedback to enhance their fitness expertise and overall performance.
Recruitment and Hiring: Play a vital role in sourcing talent for the team by conducting interviews and making hiring decisions that align with the club's goals and values.
Operational Excellence: Collaborate with the entire team to ensure the club operates in line with our core values of cleanliness, functionality, and friendliness. Work closely with the maintenance team to maintain equipment and facilities.
Member Experience Enhancement : Uphold exceptional customer service standards by continuously maintaining and strengthening member relationships to enhance their experience. Escalate urgent member issues when necessary.
Revenue Growth: Prioritize revenue-generating activities, including personal training services, to achieve the club's overall revenue goals. Monitor performance metrics and take action to drive results.
Adaptability: Stay abreast of industry trends and changes, adapting quickly to ensure the club remains competitive and aligned with evolving fitness industry standards.
Performance Management: Set clear performance expectations for team members, provide regular feedback, and address any performance issues promptly and fairly.
Celebration of Achievements: Foster a culture of recognition and celebrate team achievements, growth, and development within the club.
Collaboration with Member Experience Team: Work closely with the member experience team to ensure a seamless onboarding experience for new members, helping them embark on their fitness journey successfully.

Qualifications
Education and Experience:

- High School Diploma or GED, required
- 18 years of age or older, required
- One year as a Certified Personal Trainer, required (2 years, strongly preferred)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science or Related Field, strongly preferred
- One year of leadership experience, strongly preferred
Certifications:

- One or more nationally accredited PT certification (or can be obtained within 30 days of hire), required
- CPR/AED certification (or can be obtained within 30 days of hire), required
Minimum Qualifications:

- Must be able to lift or move 50 lbs
- Physical effort required for daily duties includes lifting weights, squatting, bending, reaching, spotting, and prolonged standing
- Must be willing to travel for training and company-sponsored meetings
