Legal Counsel

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• From a legal and risk management perspective, draft, negotiate, review and process complex agreements including SaaS, software licensing and professional services with customers and suppliers worldwide,
• Provide advice and contract interpretation on nonstandard legal, financial and business issues raised in contract documents,
• Be involved with the entire contract life cycle, including dealing with preparation and sending of template documents, negotiation, finalisation and internal distribution,
• Assist with template review activities to ensure standard documents are up to date with current legislation across global jurisdictions,
• Support the legal matters of the company linked to the daily business, including supporting the company's existing human resources department with HR and Immigration matters,
• Assist with company's insurance coverage and relationship with brokers,
• Stay up-to-date with legal developments and regulatory changes impacting the organisation, and proactively update company policies and contracts accordingly,
• Liaise with other internal departments to provide ad hoc support as and when required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 
  Juris Doctorate and admission to at least one state bar,
• Around 5 years of experience (previous in-house experience preferred),
• Solid knowledge of technology contract Law including SaaS licensing,
• Familiarity with areas of employment (including immigration matters),
• Knowledge of Data protection & Pharma Medical Compliance (including GxP, GDPR) is an advantage,
• Experience working in cross-cultural and multi-jurisdictional environments as part of an international team
• Business & solution-minded, you are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and you demonstrate the ability to successfully manage multiple projects with complex and demanding deadlines under minimal supervision,
• Result-oriented, service-minded and great team player,
• Occasional business travel required
