The Recruiting Assistant is responsible for supporting the Talent Team during our peak season. Our business sees significant increase in volume from April through September, and as such our total company headcount increases to support this additional demand.
The Opportunity:
We are looking for a temporary Recruiting Assistant to join our in-house Talent team. In this role you will guide candidates through the full lifecycle recruitment process, and be a coordinator for our hourly operations roles. This person will work at the intersection of talent acquisition and operations and play a major role in ensuring that our front-line teams continue to grow and serve more customers every month.
This is a hybrid role that requires 1-2 days per week in-office at our Ontario, CA location. This is a Full-Time Hourly, Seasonal Position (March - September).

What you'll do:
- Recruitment of drivers, movers, and warehouse operators
- Conduct phone evaluations to identify qualified candidates, with an emphasis on creating an outstanding candidate experience
- Answer incoming candidate phone calls and respond to email inquiries from candidates
- Engage candidates throughout the entire hiring process and frequently follow up to ensure high levels of conversion throughout the recruiting funnel
- Manage our background check and driver insurance verification processes
- Learn our hourly applicant tracking system (Fountain)
- Answer questions from candidates and operations management on all aspects of the hiring process and employee lifecycle
- Work on miscellaneous projects as needed
Who we're looking for:
- Bachelor's degree from a university preferred
- Previous high-volume recruiting experience preferred
- 1-4 years of professional experience in a candidate, employee, or customer-facing role preferred
- Meticulous organizational skills and incredible attention to detail - this role requires managing a high volume of candidates, open roles, and projects
- Self-starter, possessing flexibility to work in a fast-changing environment
- Strong communicator who enjoys building rapport with candidates and operations teams
- Desire to learn and grow your career within talent acquisition, HR, and/or operations
