What are the responsibilities and job description for the Support Specialist position at CMIT Solutions of Dallas?

Locally Owned and Operated IT Managed Services Company servicing small businesses is currently seeking an experienced and knowledgeable IT Support Specialist to help us support and develop clients in the Greater Dallas area. Responsibilities will be to assess, support, install, troubleshoot and maintain Microsoft based environments for our customers. The IT Support Specialist will work directly with customers to fix computer and basic networking problems.

If you have previous IT services experience and don’t want to be tied to a desk, we especially want to talk to you!

  • Technical Requirements: 4 years’ IT Support tier II/ field-onsite experience providing complete end to end point support services to small and medium sized businesses
  • Experience with all Microsoft technologies including client operating systems, server operating systems, Exchange, Terminal Services and Small Business Server, Office 365
  • Experience with Active Directory, Domain and Group Policy Administration, and Windows network administration
  • Familiar with cloud services Amazon, Microsoft, Google
  • Experience with anti-virus protection, spyware, malware, and spam protection software
  • Experience supporting mobile devices
  • Understanding of basic networking, ip addressing, switches, routers
  • Experience with IT support delivery through remote support tools, helpdesk and managed services
  • Ability to come up to speed on new technologies quickly
  • Experience in Apple devices a plus
  • Customer Service Requirements:
  • A strong client service focus and the ability to manage customer expectations
  • Excellent verbal/written communication, people and presentation skills
  • Projects a professional and customer-service oriented attitude
  • Ability to assess technology needs/requirements and develop solutions to meet them
  • Can handle pressure and client demands effectively

Miscellaneous Requirements:

  • Must be available occasionally to perform off-hour maintenance and projects
  • Must love to learn and troubleshoot new technologies
  • Must be willing to travel for client onsite visits
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and self-directed
  • A , N , Security , Microsoft, Cisco and Security Certifications preferred

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 35 per week
