FOCUS ON ACCURACY AND ATTENTION TO DETAIL
In order to ensure high quality experiences for clients and employees, the debit card associate will be held accountable to perform an assigned list of daily responsibilities accurately and with strong attention to detail. This list of daily responsibilities includes, but is not limited to, debit card maintenance, processing applications, card ordering, preparing customer letters, and processing disputes. Associate must adhere to all policies, procedures, and client service standards. Associate must possess good time management skills, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize as necessary.
SEEK PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES
Take advantage of training and learning opportunities presented to further increase knowledge of the debit card system and other eSolutions products and services including credit cards, internet banking, and mobile banking. Seek out training opportunities to stay up to date with applicable regulations. Continue professional development by voluntarily participating in elective courses, webinars, and off site seminars. Opportunities to advance within the role include a promotion to Debit Card Associate II. Level II role includes higher expectations and additional responsibilities including leading implementation of debit card projects, additional cross training on credit card and internet banking systems, and managing debit card BINS. The Debit Card Associate II supports Saturday phone bell hours on a rotating schedule.
QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, & EXPERIENCE
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job requirement satisfactorily and a skills inventory is listed below. A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required, with related experience and secondary education preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, comprehend, and interpret documents. Possesses professional communication and interpersonal skills to write and speak effectively both one-on-one and before groups of clients or employees of the organization. Ability to communicate to clients directly and effectively.
TECHNOLOGY SKILLS: Ability to use telephone systems and possess good computer skills including email, internet and intranet use. Prior experience or the ability to learn core transaction system, debit card system, statement processing system, cash advance machines and any other computer programs pertinent to performing job duties.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to solve challenging problems involving several variables in a standardized situation.
