Global Planter Product Specialist

We are currently seeking a dynamic Global Planter Product Specialist who will report to the Global Planter Product Manager and work closely with the Global Planter Platform Manager to define product strategy based on market and business needs and to translate customer and market needs into technical requirements to be used by engineering team(s).

Responsibilities

• Support Platform and Global Product Managers to assimilate required information to support program milestone reviews, including facilitation of Option, Pricing, & Volume input sheets for major projects and to assist Platform decisions on product development project feasibility and priority
• Develop and document in detail: Product definitions and product requirement documents that meet the needs of the brand strategies, customer expectations, and drive the product development process
• Translate product requirement & customer needs information into technical requirement documents required to advise engineering towards the technology needed to achieve results
• Supervise key global market activities (customer product issues, competitive practices and products, industry trends, etc.) to use as input into the product line strategies, customer requirements and product definitions for assigned products
• Keep informed of the market and financial performance of both new and current products including cost, margins, quality, and customer satisfaction to confirm the accurate project priorities and product specifications to execute brand strategies
• Build positive relationships with the brands' regional marketing teams to understand global markets: visit dealers and customers to establish product requirements, capture competitive intelligence, and support business expansion; including CDPD, focus groups, and customer clinics
• Ensure that current products meet customer expectations by prioritizing product issues and driving their resolution
• Maintain customer needs list by Platform technical requirement documents required to direct engineering towards the technology needed to achieve results
• Facilitate customer research surveys by developing appropriate questionnaires and reporting results to the Platform
• Own the Global Product Offering, DIA kit Offering, and configurations
• Communicate annual product changes to the markets, and coordinate translation between market order systems (PRP) and engineering BOM
• Develop a benchmarking strategy and plan that insures we are meeting our competitive position goals for new and current products
• Help appraises new product innovation ideas to determine their potential to address customer needs and to achieve goals in revenue growth and market share
  
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree
• 8 years of experience within the Agricultural industry
• 3 years of experience working within Product Marketing, Support, or Product Development specifically in Planters
• Ability to travel up to 30% international and domestic

The annual salary for this role is $96,000 - $140,800 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)
