SUMMARY The Cloud Architect III is responsible for leading the creation of a technology framework and providing technical leadership in support of the agency’s initiatives in cloud computing and automation. This position will focus on the design of systems and services that run on cloud platforms as well as assist with developing a strategy for moving applications into the cloud. *This position requires a TS/SCI clearance* ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Responsible for the integration of CNI Core Competencies into daily functions, including: commitment to integrity, knowledge/quality of work, supporting financial goals of the company, initiative/motivation, cooperation/relationships, problem analysis/discretion, accomplishing goals through organization, positive oral/written communication skills, leadership abilities, commitment to Affirmative Action, reliability/dependability, flexibility and ownership/accountability of actions taken. Provides Expert in anything as a Service (XaaS) CSO across multiple Cloud Service Providers (CSPs) to include off-prem, on-prem, hybrid, and tactical edge offerings. Evaluates commercial CSOs and cross references against DoD cloud use cases for inclusion into enterprise cloud capabilities. Participates and facilitates user community round tables to document lessons learned from previous cloud adoptions. Engages with user community to field and address cloud adoption questions. Develops CSO roadmap to prioritize CSOs based on DoD demand signals. Evaluates other DoD contract capabilities to ensure all offerings are included in DISA cloud contracts. Advises on utilization of the JWCC contract and how it aligns to the commercial trends and practices. Facilitates and attends technical exchange meetings with CSPs and Mission Owners. Advises on the CSO capabilities to align with DoD governance. System access includes NIPRNet and Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNet) networks. Access will not exceed the Top Secret, Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), or Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communications System (JWICS) level. Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to any training made available by the company. Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description and supervisor’s instruction in such a way as to maximize personal output. Responsible for keeping own immediate work area in a neat and orderly condition to ensure safety of self and coworkers. Will report any unsafe conditions and/or practices to the appropriate supervisor and human resources. Will immediately correct any unsafe conditions to the best of own ability. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five (5) years in Computer Science or equivalent field of relevant experience or fifteen (15) years of recent relevant experience. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGRISTRATION TS/SCI Required. IAT II certification required. JOB SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES Demonstrate knowledge of cloud architecture and implementation features (OS, multi-tenancy, virtualization, orchestration, elastic scalability). Knowledgeable of tool chains and processes to work with interop teams on development. Utilize knowledge of business processes in re-engineering principles and processes. Provide technical expertise and ownership in the diagnosis and resolution of an issue, including the determination and provision of workaround solution or escalation to service owners. Requires strong leadership and team building skills and must be able to collaborate effectively with a group of high performing individuals.
