Job Responsibilities:
- Subject Matter Expert and business partner to program management and program control to oversee and manage the full contract lifecycle of a portfolio of contracts
- Provides a detailed and thoughtful review of contracts to ensure negotiated terms support implementation and reinforcement of the Company’s risk management, compliance, quality, and fiscal initiatives to the greatest extent possible
- Deploys a practice management approach to ensure proper engagement of critical stakeholders and maintenance of clear and open communication with all stakeholders throughout the contracting process
- Negotiates various types of agreements such as contracts, contract amendments and change requests (changes in scope and price), non-disclosure agreements, teaming agreements, subcontract agreements, consulting, and staffing agreements
- Provides analysis of contracting risk or execution challenges, problems, and opportunities with value-added recommendations and action plans for resolution
- Provides advice on regulatory and contract compliance; supports compliance activities
- Provides interpretation of RFP or contracting terms and conditions and rights and obligations to internal teams and participates in and supports the proposal process
- Ensures contract management reporting requirements are met (i.e., small business subcontracting plan reports, sales reporting)
- Prepares and administers contract-related correspondence, including but not limited to transmittals, contract disputes, terminations, and closeouts
- Prepares and maintains contract summaries in the contract management platform; prepares reports as requested to support business needs
- Partners with the Program Control team to ensure financial objectives are being met
- Interacts with customer procurement representatives to ensure exquisite execution of contract management duties
- Maintains System for Award Management and state procurement registration sites for CNSI
- Maintains CPARS and other past performance information
- Executes internal contracting and authority matrix processes to gain requisite approvals and execution of contracts, contract modifications, and other legal instruments
- Leads contracting team efforts to identify, implement and manage technology solutions with the capability to improve the contracting process, efficiencies, risk management, scheduling, and reporting. Makes recommendations as needed to ensure continuous improvement
Qualifications
Required Experience/Skills:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required
- 8 years of contracts management/legal experience in IT/Technology related fields
- Full proficiency with Microsoft Office 365
Preferred Experience/Skills:
- Energetic self-starter with initiative and creative approach to problem solving
- Strong analytical, research, problem-solving, decision-making skills
- Ability to balance strategic critical thinking and attention to detail
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks under pressure requiring judgement and initiative in a fast-paced environment
- Proven success in managing complex technology transactions and effective negotiation skills applying various strategies and techniques
- Superior communication, and interpersonal skills with all levels of internal and external audiences
