What are the responsibilities and job description for the Foreman - Operations Construction position at CNX?
The Construction Foreman is responsible for the oversight and management new site construction, roadway upgrade projects, and maintenance. This position will work closely with regulatory agencies, contractors and various CNX departments and is responsible for safe and compliant projects while maintaining efficient, cost-effective construction operations. Target ResponsibilitiesPersonally drive safety and quality performance through effective leadership to ensure safe work by all contractors, vendors and anyone on CNX property at all times.Coordinate and oversee construction of access roads, well pads, and water infrastructure.Request purchase orders; review and approval of field tickets and invoices.Ensure projects are executed on schedule and in accordance with the design drawings and supporting bid documents. Lead weekly update meetings with contractors to review safety, environmental, production, and cost performance. Report project progress in daily construction reports. Manage a team of third-party inspectors to ensure all work is conducted in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with CNX standards and specifications. Scheduling material/equipment deliveries to site and coordinate with service providers for various supporting construction services.Coordinate with state (PennDOT, WVDOH, and ODOT) and township officials to ensure that roadways are maintained in a condition that is acceptable to all stakeholders.Assist with development of budgets and provide daily cost tracking and reporting for active construction and road projects.Accurately forecast and track construction costs through the life of the project.Coordinate and oversee Erosion and Sedimentation (E&S) inspections. Ensure that deficiencies identified during inspections are remediated in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner.Reclaim well locations, access roads, and rights-of-way in accordance with permit specifications and regulations.Must be familiar with the PA/OH/WV Miss Utility one-call.Must coordinate and work with various departments.Serve as a mentor to reporting contractors while setting concise expectations and ensuring that they are held accountable to CNX’s standards through project execution.Minimum RequirementsMust have the ability to consistently drive safety and quality performance through leadership.Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.Must possess a valid drivers license and be able to safely operate a company vehicle on and off road.Must be able to read and interpret engineer drawings and ensure contractors follow construction blueprints as well as site and bid specifications.Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to develop good working relationships with landowners, contractors, government agency personnel and CNX employees. Must demonstrate good communication and organization skills, possess strong analytical skills and have detail-orientated project management capability.Must be willing to travel to remote locations and spend considerable time at field locations as required. Must possess basic computer skills such as Microsoft Office,Extended hours and occasional weekend work required.Preferred QualificationsExperience with PennDOT, ODOT, WVDOH projects is a plus.3-5 years of site construction experience.Bachelor of Science or Associate degree in Civil Engineering / Technician Program.
