Position Overview:
Our client is seeking an experienced, vibrant, self-motivated Senior municipal engineer to join the team. The Project Engineer will demonstrate strong professional engineering in performing engineering designs to achieve continuity of purpose within scope, budget and time schedules from initial start-up through final design. This position may serve as an Assistant Project Manager or Project Manager on moderate-sized, well-defined projects and/or Senior-Technical Engineer within an area of expertise on others' projects. Implementing assigned projects and phases of larger projects independently utilizing well-developed skills, techniques, and methodology.
Tasks and Responsibilities: Project Engineer III and Project Engineer IV positions
- Serves as client liaison and/or project manager for municipal projects.
- Projects include pretty broad civil engineer generalist scope including structural, municipal, bridge, municipal, water and sewer, utilities.
- Provides supervision and coordinates the interaction of all disciplines and support staff and sub-consultants as required to complete public works projects within budget and schedule.
- Coordinates and/or prepares proposals
- Evaluates staff performance.
- Establishes QA/QC methods and procedures on projects to ensure high technical performance in conformance with company standards.
- Experience in municipal capital improvement planning
- Attendance at public meetings
Required Knowledge, Education, and Experience:
- A BS in Civil Engineering is required
- 8 - 10 years of civil engineering experience for Project III - IV Engineer levels
- PE License required- State of Ohio licensure
- Planning, funding, design and construction management experience with all types of municipal infrastructure
- Proficiency with computer-based design tools (AutoCAD, GIS, REVIT)
- Full understanding of permitting and funding agency requirements.

- Must have a valid driver's license
III - Pay Range: $110,000 - $125,000 per year - 8 years of experience
IV - Pay Range: $120,000 - $140,000 per year - 10 years of experience
