Lab Technician Responsibilities to Include:
Perform routine tests in clinical laboratories for use in treatment and diagnosis of disease using standard techniques and equipment
Perform related duties in laboratory to include storing and labeling specimens and using manual and automatic equipment to prepare specimen and perform analytical tests
Keep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies
Requirements
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Course work in health care preferred
Prior medical practice experience preferred
Basic knowledge of laboratory safety and infection control procedures and practices including standard precautions and hazardous chemical handling preferred
Working knowledge of computer applications
Prior experience with EMR preferred
Ability to speak, read and write effectively
Ability to work independently without direct supervision
Ability to coordinate, analyze, observe, make decisions, and meet deadlines, in a detail-oriented manner
Flexible scheduling availability required
