Coates is seeking to add a Relocation Agent to our team in Oklahoma City, OK.
Coates is the oldest Right of Way Firm in the nation as we celebrate our 70th Anniversary. We are looking for a Relocation Agent with a strong understanding of industry guidelines and interpersonal skills to provide relocation services to businesses and residents displaced due to public construction projects, particularly with DOT and local public agencies
The agent will provide relocation assistance to individuals throughout the right-of-way project life-cycle in support of the Project Manager (PM), or members of the project team.
Local candidates preferred.
Overview of Duties:
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures
- Perform right-of-way relocation's related to state or federally funded infrastructure projects
- Prepare real estate documents
- Performs basic property research for ownership and boundary information
- Performs general administrative / clerical work as required, including but not limited to preparing legal documents, reports and correspondence, attending meetings, entering and retrieving computer data, copying and filing documents for file management, verbal and written communications with customers; customer service and related functions
- Trouble shoot customer complaints and issues
- Conducts searches for replacement referrals, coordinates the moving process
- Conducts physical inspection of real property to be acquired
Specialized knowledge/education:
- Minimum of 2 years of right of way experience in relocation assistance on Uniform Act projects
- Must have project experience utilizing the Uniform Relocation Act (URA) guidelines
- RAC certified or functional equivalency, Certification or Course History required
- Must be proficient with MS Office Suite, specifically, Outlook, Word and Excel, and SharePoint or equivalent database.
- Able to work efficiently and effectively under tight deadlines, as well as balance multiple projects by prioritizing effectively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills. Should be comfortable interacting with diverse groups of people
- Demonstrated organizational, planning, and prioritization skills
- Analytical and able to problem solve
- Ability to work with a team with minimal supervision
- English language proficient
- Valid Driver’s License
- Have transportation to make house visits and travel to project locations regularly
