An emphasis is put on teamwork and approaching business with a positive attitude to keep work fun and engaging.An Assembly Technician is responsible for following mechanical and electrical drawings accurately to assemble electromechanical assemblies and confirm their correct operation. This position will perform a variety of tasks that may also include receiving and taking inventory of parts, polishing/deburring metal parts, and general shop cleaning and maintenance. Must be able to work independently on a list of tasks and be responsible to complete the required tasks in a timely manner. Works closely with the Shop Lead to ensure all parts and assemblies are fabricated and assembled to the company’s high standards.

General Job Duties:

· Assembling custom engineered machinery according to engineering drawings and instruction

· Testing and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical operation of machinery

· Inspecting fabricated and purchased parts for conformity to print dimensions

· Receiving, taking inventory, pulling of parts for projects

· Polishing and deburring parts according to finish requirements

· Maintaining a clean and organized shop environment

· Ensuring all timekeeping forms are up to date daily

· Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals

· Some travel may be required

Minimum Qualifications:

· High school graduate or GED

· Technical degree in industrial mechanics, electromechanical, or related fields

· Understanding of mechanical systems and assemblies

· Ability to follow and interpret electrical, fluid power, and mechanical drawings

· Capable of performing a variety of tasks under general supervision with a certain degree of creativity and latitude as required to accomplish the task.

· Detail oriented with an attention to tolerance and finish requirements

· Knowledge of general quality inspection procedures and the ability to inspect part’s conformity to a print dimension

· Commitment to Quality in all tasks performed

· Good interpersonal skills and human relation skills

· Competent with Microsoft Office Products including Outlook, Excel, and Word

· Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. and spend the majority of the time standing

Preferred Qualifications:

· Industry experience with electromechanical assemblies, testing, and troubleshooting

· Working knowledge of fluid power systems

· Milling machine work experience

· Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a manufacturing environment

· Experience inspecting parts to high accuracy tolerances

Daily movements include sitting; standing; reaching and grasping; and operating machinery. The employee must occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
