Job Description
The Delivery Merchandiser is responsible for assisting CDL Drivers with loading, unloading and delivering product to customer locations on designated routes.
In this role, the Delivery Merchandiser is also responsible for stocking product (merchandising) on shelves and in coolers while ensuring that appropriate rotation standards are maintained.
At times the Delivery Merchandiser will ride with the CDL Driver while in other instances the Delivery Merchandiser will work solo transporting themselves between our customers’ locations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Delivery Merchandisers assists the Driver Merchandisers throughout the day to deliver, fill, merchandise, condense backstock and rotate products at customer accounts
- Merchandise, display, and rotate products according to company standards
- Transport product between backroom and display floor with manual equipment
- Replenish, face, and rotate product
- Build, change, and take down product displays
- Maintain product signage
- Clean product space
- Secure damaged or defective product
- Delivery Merchandisers will either ride in a truck with a driver or will transport themselves to our Coke Northeast customers’ locations
- Pick up company property and returns
- Reload truck with customer returns, empty shelves, and pallets
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and company policies and procedures
- Manage backroom by organizing and consolidating backstock :
- Identify, monitor, and report backstock inventory levels
- Re-pack product and organize backroom materials (pallets, product shells etc.)
- Operate manual and powered handling equipment (i.e., pallet jack, hand-truck etc.)
- Provide superior customer service to consumers and store personnel & foster relationships by identifying and resolving concerns :
- Answer questions
- Locate product
- Respond to requests for assistance
Job Requirements
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent preferred
- Minimum 6 months of general work experience required
- 1 years of experience working in grocery, retail, consumer goods, warehousing or related field preferred
- Experience working with manual or powered pallet jacks preferred
- Must have the ability to repetitively lift, push and pull 50 pounds, reach above head height, squat, kneel, bend and reach
- Must have the ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
- Must have the ability to push and pull manual and powered material handling equipment (i.e., pallet jack, hand-truck etc.
containing product loads for a minimum of 100 yards without assistance
- Must have the ability to repetitively grasp and manipulate objects of varying size and weight requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination
- Must have the ability to read information in small, medium and large print
- Valid driver's license and driving record within MVR policy guidelines
- Must be self-motivated with a high degree of integrity and be able to perform job duties with minimal supervision on a timely basis
