The Product Development group is the focal point for all activities pertaining to product strategy, market requirements, positioning, and launch of products. We are looking for a motivated, team-player who possesses a comprehensive understanding of the banking industry combined with project management experience, business analysis/critical thinking techniques, presentation skills and the capability to take a new product or service from design to implementation at a client.

The Product Analyst II plays a role throughout the implementation and/or development lifecycle. From a functional perspective, she/he needs to be comfortable working on issues across a range of disciplines including operations, technology, compliance/legal, marketing, and pricing. Once a product is ready for launch, the Product Analyst II should be prepared to perform initial demonstrations to clients and coworkers, consult with the clients on the implementation and best practices and assist with the transition of support roles to the customer support team.

What you’ll do…

Product Development:

  • Work with the development teams, coworkers and clients to identify product needs, new products to be available and strategies to deploy them.
  • Determine product needs (business impact, client requirements, etc.) and gain approval. Analyze business needs against current system functionality and industry standards for such processing, create requirements document for development, attend walk through sessions and participate in the critical thinking process. Host focus groups and participate in product forums hosted by COCC to gather information and identify clients to work with on development requirements.
  • Perform User Acceptance Testing to ensure the product aligns with the original client requirements. Build test environment within database by creating/maintaining/editing accounts and/or system / bank / product options. Process transaction sets according to defined script and document findings.
  • Develop release documentation providing details on new functionality and system changes.
  • Assist with the training department to determine training needs and documentation and assist them in coordinating these events.
  • Interface with customer support for more detailed support as necessary

Product Implementations:

  • Work with the initial adopters of new product functionality with the product launch.
  • Perform new product/service setup, determine parameters and client needs with respect to the launch and maintain expectations that are in line with the functionality.
  • Assist and in some cases perform the initial end user training and determine best practices.
  • Follow up post implementation and provide initial support. Work to transition training and support to the appropriate departments within customer service.

Perform Product Usage Review and Visits

  • Identify key COCC products and services that may be underutilized. Work with the product manager to develop a strategy to ensure these products are not overlooked.
  • Author power user documents for areas of weakness or underutilization.
  • Perform product visits at the client site to review existing products and services used. Look to identify areas where a client may optimize their processing or add to their product suite. Ensure products and services that offer benefits are not overlooked by introducing them via client visit. Assist in performing presentations at one of COCC’s conferences or at a client site.

Assist Partner Departments within COCC

  • Actively work with the training, support, conversion and marketing teams as needed.
  • Assist the support team when they are unclear or have a need for better understanding of utilization of a product or service or need assistance to troubleshoot a high level issue.
  • Host training classes or webinars in an effort to assist the training department on power user products or services where knowledge or resources may be limited.
  • As new clients move to COCC and look to be early implementers of a new product, assist the conversion team to ensure a full understanding of its usage as well as ensure a smooth transition to support.
  • Perform marketing demonstrations as directed by the product manager.
  • Assist the marketing team in periodically setting up the marketing database to ensure it has the newest products and services available and ready for demonstration.
  • Assists other areas within organization based upon skill set and task knowledge as needed.
  • Participate in miscellaneous assignments in a manner which promotes team work and professional corporate image.

What you’ll bring…

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred for this role but will consider appropriate work experience and/or relevant certifications.
  • Experience in a customer facing role
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to quickly learn complex computer systems and read/understand technical documentation
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and management both verbally and in writing
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to maintain composure when dealing with dissatisfied customers
  • Demonstrated ability presenting to small work groups on both technical and functional requirements
  • Team oriented with good interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with coworkers
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Can comfortably handle risk and uncertainty
  • Ability to multi-task while completing projects under tight timelines

Salary Range on this role is $51,000-$73,440
