At the direction of the Laboratory Director, the Production/Delivery Technician is responsible for assisting in the manufacture and production of medical marijuana products. In addition, the Production/Delivery Technician will make weekly deliveries of marijuana products to licensed dispensaries across the state. The Production/Delivery Technician is responsible for adhering to policies and procedures with an emphasis on regulatory related processes such as SOPs and safety to meet the business needs of the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Adhere to the daily production schedule to ensure attainment of efficiency goals.
- Verify that all applicable working areas, tools, and processing equipment are maintained and in good working order prior to the start of each shift or batch.
- Clean and sanitize glassware, transfer materials, storage vessels, tools and working surfaces. Ensure all extraction and processing are performed with attention to strict quality and safety standards, regulatory compliance and all other applicable legal and food safety requirements.
- Safely operate, clean and maintain extraction production equipment including extraction systems, distillations systems, pumps, filters and evaporators according to our SOPs.
- Safely handle hazardous materials and adhere to safe chemical handling and disposing procedures defined by SOPs and MSDS.
- Safely handle and dispose of cannabis waste according to processes defined in SOPs.
- Produce reliable and precise data for completion of all required batch, equipment, quality, inventory and state mandated documentation.
- Accurately fill out all associated logs and tracking records. Contribute to continuous improvement of processes.
- Ensure the safety of themselves and other by maintaining a safe and orderly workspace.
- Other duties in post-processing production, packaging, labeling and R&D as required.
- Complete orders as directed by management within established time frame(s).
- Keep an organized and clean work area in vehicle.
- Maintain accurate records and receipts of deliveries.
- Obey all traffic laws and operate vehicle in a safe manner.
At a minimum, here’s what you need:
- Education or Equivalent: A high school diploma is required. Prior laboratory experience is preferred, though not required.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Must have a Valid Driver’s License.
- Positive attitude & Self-motivated. Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Able to push, pull or lift a minimum of 50 lbs. Capable of sitting, standing, kneeling, bending, squatting and or walking for extended periods of time.
- Background Check Requirement As a condition of employment, a complete state and federal background investigation will be required. Individuals that have been convicted of a criminal offense related to the sale or possession of illegal drugs, narcotics or controlled substances may not hold a position with COCO Labs.
