Job Description:

The ML Product Director is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the development and management of machine learning-driven products within a company. The ML Product Director will have responsibility for the product strategy and deliverables of both the CMX ML Research and the ML Engineering teams. This role requires a strong blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and business acumen. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Product Strategy: Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy for machine learning-driven products, aligning both data scientists and engineers with the overall business objectives. 
  •  
  • Market Analysis: Understand market trends and customer needs to identify opportunities for machine learning applications and potential product enhancements.
  •  
  • Product Development: Oversee the entire product development lifecycle, from concept and design to development, validation, deployment and maintenance, ensuring that the product meets quality and performance standards.

  • Technical Expertise: Maintain a strong understanding of machine learning techniques, algorithms, and tools, and leverage this knowledge to guide product development. Serve as an evangelist of the CMX ML product suite and assist in driving product-centric education across internal and external customers.

  • Data Management: Collaborate with Data Intelligence and Coding Quality Assessment teams to ensure access to high-quality, relevant data for machine learning models.
  •  
  • Roadmap Planning: Define and manage the product roadmap, setting  annual and quarter-based priorities and milestones, and adjusting them as needed based on market feedback and changing business goals.

  • Testing and Evaluation: Develop and implement rigorous testing and evaluation procedures to continuously improve the product's performance and user satisfaction; seeking to leverage electronic and automated processes wherever possible.

  • Collaboration: Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization, including sales, marketing, and professional services, to ensure alignment and successful product launches.
  •  
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about relevant regulations and standards in the machine learning field and ensure that products adhere to legal and ethical guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Education: A bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, or a related field is typically required, with a master's or Ph.D. being an advantage.
  •  
  • Experience: Several years of experience in product management and leadership roles, with a strong background in machine learning and artificial intelligence.
  •  
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in machine learning frameworks and tools, as well as a deep understanding of data science and engineering concepts.
  •  
  • Business Acumen: Strong business and financial understanding, with the ability to make data-driven decisions and align product strategies with the company's objectives.
  •  
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and build effective teams.
  •  
  • Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify opportunities, assess risks, and make informed decisions.
  •  
  • Leadership: Proven leadership skills to inspire and guide cross-functional teams toward common goals.
  •  
  • Adaptability: The ability to adapt to changing market conditions and emerging technologies is crucial in this rapidly evolving field.
