What are the responsibilities and job description for the Purchasing and database management position at Cogimetrics?
Cogimetrics is the order fulfillment and database arm of a retail organization. The parent company predominantly sells online (website, amazon, ebay). The company has a warehouse near Tremonton from which they fill orders and offers fulfillment services to other clients who have similar businesses. We are looking for someone to work directly under the owners operating in the capacity of account manager to maintain our online stores and maintain our database of information.
The candidate will check the online stores daily for issues (i.e. broken listings, customer inquiries, low inventory) and address those issues, although this is no specific set of tasks the role is limited to. Candidate will also perform any tasks the owners ask of them. The candidate will be accountable for placing regular orders with supplies using buy recommendations generated by the software and will be the primary point of contact for suppliers.
The candidate can work either from the office in Logan or the warehouse in Tremonton, with the option to work remotely when sufficiently trained.
The ideal candidate either has a strong understanding of databasing and is capable of handling large datasets in excel or is very confident they can quickly learn to navigate excel/databases with guidance. We are looking for a full-time or part-time candidate that desires to transition to full-time in the future (Students welcome). This is an entry-level position but on a leadership track. Our long-term goal would be to hire someone that could be mentored into running this organization in the future, one of our sister organizations, or a co-owned business depending on the interests of the candidate. The ideal candidate is a self-starter that does not rely on others to create tasks for them and knows how to solve problems.
The ideal candidate will need to drive to Tremonton from time to time and assist with fulfillment operations. This will require the ability to lift up to 50-lbs intermittently.
