Data Center Technician needed for a 6 Month Contract in Laredo, TX!
Our client is looking for a Data Center Technician to work onsite in Laredo, TX performing the following duties:
Key Responsibilities
Install and terminate fiber optic communications systems, including SM and MM fiber.
Install structured ethernet cable Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a, and Coax RG6 and RG11 cable.
Mount wireless access points, wireless outdoor bridges, and cameras.
Install EMT conduit for network infrastructure and hardware.
Rack and stack network switches and UPS equipment.
Replace network racks as required.
Troubleshoot intercom and telecommunications systems as needed.
Manage inventory of hardware and materials.
Create detailed as-built drawings of cable infrastructure.
Perform warehouse duties, including forklift operation.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; certificate or associate degree in network systems, communication technology, or related field is a plus.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in installing and maintaining network infrastructure and hardware.
Experience in mounting wireless access points, bridges, and cameras.
Knowledge of network racks, switches, and UPS equipment installation.
Ability to install and terminate structured ethernet cable, Coax RG6 and RG11 cable, and fiber optic communications systems.
Experience in troubleshooting intercom and telecommunications systems.
Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management.
Ability to create detailed as-built drawings of cable infrastructure.
Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
Hours Mon – Friday 8AM – 5PM
