Position Summary:
Cognitive is looking for a Proposal Writer to join an expanding Business
Development and Proposal team for a rapidly growing Service-Disabled Veteran-
Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) in Federal Healthcare IT. The Proposal Writer
should have the ability to translating technical solutions into a compelling story that
highlights Cognitive’s value proposition while keeping the customer’s challenges
and needs at the heart of our proposals.
Cognitive is a healthcare IT and software development company committed to
providing the tools necessary to improve healthcare outcomes. We focus on
Interoperable IT solutions, clinical intelligence, management consulting, systems
integration, and clinical data analysis to simplify the complexities of US healthcare.
We are currently focused on providing solutions to the Departments of Veterans
Affairs, Defense, and Health and Human Services.
Cognitive expertise covers a broad range of services and capabilities, including
mobile applications development, consulting, program management, software
development, database design, EHR / EMR systems analysis, data modeling, metric
reporting, standards development, and business process reengineering. We
specialize in standards-based, advanced concept software solutions for healthcare
organizations that solve unique problems for individual client situations, as well as
broader, fundamental challenges the healthcare industry faces
Duties:
Serve as Volume Lead and/or Lead Writer for Technical and Management
Sections of proposals
Work with other technical/management writers to harmonize proposal
writing across the volume and to ensure one voice in presenting proposal
content.
Work closely with Solution Architects, Subject Matter Experts, and operations
staff to collect data required for proposal development.
Write, edit, and revise proposal materials and coordinate with technical and
program personnel to ensure accuracy.
Analyze RFP requirements with the Proposal Manager and participate in
color team reviews.
Participate in proposal continuing quality improvement initiatives
Requirements:
U.S. Citizen to obtain a Government Security Clearance
Bachelor’s Degree or Masters in English, Journalism, Business
Administration, Information Systems Management, or a related business
discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional
training, or work experience
Five years of experience of persuasive writing experience in the Federal
Government market, preferably in healthcare and healthcare IT
Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
and Adobe PDF
