What are the responsibilities and job description for the Music Tutor (Piano/Violin) position at CogniTutor?
Interested in making $40-$50 per hour?
While working as a music instructor with CogniTutor, LLC, you choose your own working times. You will teach piano, steel drums, or guitar to children who get the lessons for free (you will still be paid!), keep up your schedule on our calendar, and submit session reports after session. Do you like working with elementary, middle, and high school students?
This is a great position to have as supplemental to a full time job! You get to create your own schedule and choose which students you will take on!
This position is for teaching beginner level music to elementary students who are interested in Piano or Violin.
(This is a scholarship position; tutor must be a certified teacher or have a 4 year degree in music or music education or a related field to music and guitar. Specific schedule will be determined by tutor and client. This is an immediate hire and will require a background check as well as proof of teaching certificate or 4 year degree. Tutor must be knowledgeable and comfortable working with a student that is ESE.)
Potential tutors with CogniTutor must have:
- Reliable transportation
- Consistency with scheduling students
- GPA above a 3.2
- Great communication skills
- Ability to navigate computers
- Fluency in English language
- Flexibility to work afternoons and evenings
- Willingness to travel up to 20 miles (tutors are compensated for their travel)
- Availability to meet in students' homes
