Technology : Oracle APEX/PLSQL
Position Summary : The candidate should have experience in performing production support activities including, and not limited to, maintaining system configurations, data cleanup, developing custom code, testing, filing/resolving service requests, and estimating enhancements.
Responsibilities
The group manages a set of APEX Applications and additionally supports Java and Robot process automations and background processes which facilitate enterprise integration
A successful candidate will have demonstrated a track record of working on mission-critical applications, delivering quality solutions and providing high value to customers in a fast-paced environment
Conceptualize design, implement, and develop solutions for complex system/programs independently
Document system builds and application configurations; maintain and update documentation as needed
Provide technical analysis, design, development, conversion, and implementation work
Work as a project leader, as needed, for projects of moderate complexity
Serve as a technical resource for applications
Compare, evaluate, and implement new features and technologies, and integrate them into the computing environment
Follow team software development methodology
Mentor lower-level software developers
Required Qualifications
The position requires a solid background in Oracle PL/SQL, Oracle Application Express - APEX and Java
Experience with developing and deploying applications in Oracle APEX
Experience with working on Oracle databases
Experience with structured programming related to SQL is a must (like Oracle PL/SQL)
Experience with building web services using REST
Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and programming tools
Demonstrated experience in designing, developing, testing, and deploying applications
Strong understanding of data design, architecture, relational databases, and data modeling
Thorough understanding of all aspects of software development life cycle and quality control practices
Ability to define and solve logical problems for highly technical applications
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical clients
Demonstrated experience with structured team development projects
Salary and Other Compensation:
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
