Cognizant’s Digital Engineering practice is seeking a highly qualified Architect with experience in Java, Spring boot microservices, and AWS, developing and building hard-working, scalable, enterprise applications. You will be part of a digital software team that works on high-demand applications. Our Architects have a passion for high-quality, reliable, and maintainable code. Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of complex software solutions using Java 11 and Java 8.
• Oversee the implementation of design patterns to ensure code quality and maintainability.
• Provide architectural guidance on the use of Spring Boot Spring Cloud and Spring Framework.
• Drive the adoption of microservices architecture to enhance system scalability and flexibility.
• Ensure the effective use of AWS services to optimize application performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Angular 10 into front-end development.
• Mentor and guide junior developers to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation to support ongoing development and maintenance.
• Lead the evaluation and selection of new technologies and tools to enhance the development process.
• Provide technical leadership in the Commercial Lending domain if applicable.
• Ensure that all architectural solutions align with business goals and objectives.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree or equivalent experience.
• 15 years of relevant experience.
• Possess extensive experience in Java 11 and Java 8 development.
• Demonstrate proficiency in design patterns and their application in software development.
• Have in-depth knowledge of Spring Cloud, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Java8, design patterns, Microservices, AWS, Java 11, and SAP C4HANA CPQ.
• Show expertise in microservices architecture and its implementation.
• Exhibit strong experience with AWS services and cloud-based solutions.
• Be skilled in front-end development using Angular 10 .
• Have a background in the Commercial Lending domain is a plus.
• Display excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Possess strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Demonstrate the ability to lead and mentor development teams.
• Show a commitment to continuous learning and staying update.
• Experience in the Commercial Lending domain is a plus.

Salary and compensation

The annual salary for this position is between $113K – $195K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
