Mission
To assist the Plants & Equipment Mgr. in the following areas;
Main Responsibilities
Study energy consumption, utilization and potential savings.
Using systematic approaches and methodologies in decision making.
Provide solutions and alternatives when considering multiple options using scientific procedures.
Advise in purchase and maintenance of assets.
Organize the maintenance teams within the company.
Working with Managers, establish long-term needs for investment in Plants and Equipment.
Recommending whether to replace, repair or rent.
Oversee cost and completion of the renovation projects.
Negotiate with suppliers and dispose of excess equipment.
Develop the company’s image and promote innovations.
Develop and adapt new products and new processes.
Oversee equipment and accounting and recordkeeping.
Promote and organize training and communication throughout the company.
Track and improve RAP and BTU utilization.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EDUCATION AND ABILITIES:
Understanding the concepts and how plants and machines work.
Has led and/or participated in innovative improvement projects.
Familiar with Auditing Process.
Excellent orginizational, interpersonal and presentation/training skills
Ability to work with minimal direction and take initiative where merited
Work with the utmost concern for safety for self and others.
Management training or experience in asphalt, aggregate, terminal plants and/or road construction equipment.
Strong computer skills including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint etc...
Ability to compile, process, and analyze large amounts of data and convert into information to help make business decisions
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Willing to work in the field or plants to gain experience. Willing to travel as required and relocate if needed at some period. Willing to work whatever hours are necessary but within reason, may include evenings and weekends.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
B.S. in Mechanical or Mining Engineering strongly preferred. Some experience in the construction field also strongly preferred.
