Job Summary
Safely perform labor tasks and support the members of the paving crew to produce the highest quality product in the safest and most efficient manner.
Main Responsibilities
- Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all federal, state, local and company safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for each task.
- Shovel dirt, stone, and asphalt.
- Operate skid steer, broom tractor and loader.
- Locate and identify utility lines.
- Act as spotter and/or flagger for haulers entering or exiting the job site.
- Use various tools such as shovel, brooms, pick, mattock, brush hook, rake, pneumatic hammer/drill, tamps (both manual and power driven), concrete saw, sledgehammer and other tools associated with manual labor.
- Perform all other duties deemed necessary or assigned.
- Perform all work functions in appropriate PPE.
Skills
- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from job sites.
- Must be able to lift, stand, and bend for long periods of time.
- Able to work weekends, night, and overtime as needed..
