Main Responsibilities
Handling equipment, slumping of concrete, follow orders, pouring operations, jobsite hand signals, environmental wash down procedures and washout dispensing, fueling and oil checks.
Prepares for the day by conducting a pre-trip inspection of the mixer truck prior to the first load.
Conducts a post-trip inspection at the end of the workday.
Ensures deliveries are made according to the job's specifications and in a timely manner.
Responsible for maintaining and using the appropriate attire and personal protective equipment (PPE) while working.
Communicates efficiently, effectively and politely with customers to ensure the precise handling of the product delivered.
Maintains a good working relationship with all company personnel to certify the customer is satisfied. Portrays a positive and accommodating demeanor towards peers, managers and customers.
All other duties or special projects as assigned by management.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or G.E.D.
- A minimum of a Class B commercial driver's license (CDL) required.
- Acceptable driving record
- Ability to converse with and respond to questions from a wide range of people—executives, management, employees, customers, vendors, etc.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Environment
- Frequently required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, climb or crawl; lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
- Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts or chemicals which require driver to wear appropriate PPE. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, as well as high, precarious places.
