Job Summary

The primary responsibility of the Scale Clerk is to track, record, and report the volume and type of material that leaves the pit on each truck. Maintain the scale house and operational equipment. Manage and report up-to-date pit inventories to management. Greet truck drivers, answer inquiries, advise pit personnel when customers enter the facilities, and distribute safety information. Main Responsibilities
- Record vehicle tare weights and process daily scale transactions and generate vital scale ticket information.
- Maintain pit inventory records and produce material reports.
- Review and update information in JWS/automated scale weighing systems.
- Maintain pit scale facility and scale equipment.
- Additional clerical tasks, as assigned.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Skills
- Self-motivated and exercise strong time management skills
- Able to work with minimal supervision.
- Strong customer service focus.
- Regular and timely attendance is required.
- Pass pre-employment and random drug test.
- Successful completion of Physical Abilities Test.
- Must be 18 and have reliable conveyance.
