What are the responsibilities and job description for the WIC Nutritionist position at Coles County Health Department?
Coles County Health Department is looking for a Nutritionist for our WIC program. The ideal candidate is an effective communicator, empathetic, and has excellent customer service. Duties include conducting certification interviews and re-certification follow-ups with clients; recommend dietary changes and assign supplemental food packages to participants; documents and maintains confidential client records; serves as resouce of information to clients; working with clients to help them provide the most nutritious meals for their family; and other duties as assigned.
Education, Experience: Registered Dietitian, baccalaureate or masters in dietetics, nutrition, public health nutrition, or related field. Would also accept registered nurse or baccalaureate or masters degree in home economics (must have a minimum of 20 hours in food and nutrition courses if home economics degree). Must have valid Illinois driver's license, proof of auto accident liability insurance, and access to reliable transportation.
