Financial Analyst:
Month-end Close Activities:
- Manage Labor and Overhead Reporting. Ensure charges are posted to the appropriate cost element and cost center. Review actuals versus budget, and investigate significant variances with the respective budget owner.
- Identify accruals and reserves for month-end close.
- Preparation of Temp Expense Analysis for Budget Owners and work to ensure spend goals are being achieved and communicate any potential risks.
- Assist with the monthly balance sheet reconciliations and analysis.
- Assist with the FTG Database reporting and project savings validations.
- Attend monthly PPR meeting and ensure meeting summary and documentation of actions and follow-ups for each budget owner.
- Provide assistance as needed for material loss investigations and cycle count variances.
Payroll:
- Coordinate and ensure timely technician payroll reporting in collaboration with Operations and HR.
- Create rule-based journal entries from annual budget / LE. Perform review of the payroll for completeness and accuracy prior to month-end close, and submit any reclass entries as needed.
- Preparation of the monthly overtime report for budget owners and communicate any potential risks and opportunities.
- Work with the controller to ensure month-end accruals are appropriate for payroll.
Payables Management:
- Review of the Subsidiary Action Report and working with the respective budget owners and CBS to resolve issues and past due payments.
- Monthly review with CBS of GR/IR items to achieve company clearing targets.
- Purchase Order management for Temps, Utilities, and Equipment Leases.
- Management of NON-PO coding for Freight invoices.
- P-Card reporting and monthly expense review.
Budgeting and Standards Costing:
- Assist the controller in the coordination of Budget process by creating workbooks for the budget owners and ensuring adherence to timelines and data submission requirements.
- Assist with the budget reviews and final consolidation activities to deliver the COS Exhibits and Deck Presentation.
- Assist and support the costing update exercises (1/1 and 7/1) to ensure timelines are met with the CBS and that the standard costs have been properly analyzed and reviewed for completeness.
- Provide support with review of rate routings, cost center conversion costs, and headcount allocations during the annual budget uploading into SAP.
Internal Controls:
- Participation in the Q4 wall-to-wall physical inventory. Assist with the investigation of variances and ensure that blind counts are being performed.
- Assist with the fixed asset tagging process and quarterly cycle count reviews of assets.
- Provide support for the CEB project closures by performing SAP reviews and preparation of CBS closure templates.
- Monthly company store sales reporting and analysis.
- Assist with the performance of Sox documentation and testing.
Other:
- Liaise with other Plants and CBS Partners for knowledge sharing and benchmarking.
- Participate in cross-functional continuous improvement efforts as appropriate.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree required; Accounting or Finance concentration preferred.
- At least 5 years of financial or plant experience required.
- Strong relevant systems knowledge (Excel, Google, and SAP) required.
- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills required to interact with Supply Chain Operations, Division Finance, and CBS partners.
Salary Range $86,400 - $16,840 USD
Pay is based on several non discriminatory factors including but not limited to experience, education, skills and office location. In addition to your salary, Colgate-Palmolive offers a performance based bonus and competitive benefits package.
