About the Role:
- We are looking for a Scientist to join the Genome Sciences
- Neuro-Immunology iPSC disease modeling group in Cambridge, MA.
- The candidate will work on collaborative research projects to identify and validate new drug targets based on Human Genetics.
- The role involves utilizing genetic and pharmacological manipulations of induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) model systems to understand the pathobiology of human diseases.
Responsibilities:
- Formulate and execute assay protocols with iPSC-derived microglial cells, tri-culture, and brain organoid models.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop functional assay readouts for neuroimmune drug targets.
- Communicate and present data to a diverse group of scientists, including senior managers.
Education Qualification:
- Candidate with MS with 8 or PhD with 2 years of experience in molecular/cellular biology or related biological fields.
Skill:
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience in collaborative research environments
- Experience with human stem cell culture, genetic/genomic manipulations (CRISPR), biochemical assays, and automation
- Previous experience in drug discovery projects
- Experience in Neuroscience or Immunology is a plus
- Experience in electrophysiological recordings is a plus
