We’re currently looking for a Claims Manager to oversee the intake and processing of insurance claims for personal, property, or casualty loss based on coverage, appraisal, and verifiable damage. They will ensure claims are efficiently and properly completed based on policy provisions while also managing appraisals and order-processing staff. Additionally, the manager will recommend and implement best practices to ensure complete and thorough claim settlements, legal reviews, and investigations following company policies and insurance industry regulations. They will determine the value of settlements for escalated claims and negotiate the settlements and administration of claims in litigation.
The role reports to the Director of CRC and will work from our Santa Ana, CA office.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage and coordinate the Claims Team to ensure effective practices in training, cost control, staffing performance measurements, and continuous improvement
- Ensure compliance with insurance policies, procedures, and legal & regulatory responsibilities
- Monitor and report key performance metrics to provide regular trend analysis
- Bring expertise to support underwriters with claim developments
- Support and promote process improvement methodologies and best practices to enhance claims process and increase employee satisfaction and engagement
- Recruit, select, develop, manage, motivate, coach, and mentor Claims coordinators
- Provide monthly formal feedback and coaching sessions with direct reports
- Approve and disallow claims within authorization limits
- Support claims initiatives and projects as assigned
- Drive negotiations between external and internal stakeholders for policy change and improvements
- Lead by example and be a champion of all company policies, including safety, attendance & security
Who You Are:
- Technical experience in claims of 5 years
- 1-3 years of supervisory/management experience with a focus of managing the operations of insurance claims team to meet internal & external stakeholders requirements
- Strong ability to multitask, problem solve, and organize multiple process streams
- Strong oral and written communication skills as well as professional interpersonal skills to effectively lead change
- Ability to plan, delegate and carry out projects and assignments to accomplish goals to meet company OKR’s

- Experience in Microsoft Office and the Google Suite
Salary Range: The salary range for this position is $67,699 - $109,912. Actual compensation on this range varies based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including location, job level, prior experience, and skill set.
