EVENING and DAY SHIFT - EMT needed for Occupational setting in Letart, WV. EMT is responsible for providing first aid, testing and training for employees on a busy worksite. Applicants must have an active license, be flexible, and be able to lift up to 40 lbs. OSHA 10 is required (company pays cost associated with class) and must be completed within 72 hours of hire date.
THIS IS A TEMPORARY POSITION BEGINNING IN AUGUST, CANDIDATES WITH ANY AVAILABLITY ARE ENCOURAGED TO APPLY. THIS IS FOR A EVENING SHIFT POSITION 5PM-330AM, 6 DAYS A WEEK.
```Duties```
- Provide first aid treatment, various testing, and training as needed.
- Assess patient conditions and perform triage to determine the level of care needed.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by medical professionals.
- Lift and move patients safely, using proper body mechanics and equipment.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including heart rate, blood pressure, and oxygen levels.
- Follow aseptic techniques to prevent infection transmission.
- Utilize knowledge of human physiology to assess and respond to patient needs.
```Skills```
- Valid EMT-Basic certification/license.
- Strong triage skills to prioritize patient care based on severity of condition.
- Knowledge of vital signs monitoring and interpretation.
- Familiarity with aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment.
- Understanding of human physiology and its application to patient care.
- Ability to work effectively in an industrial setting.
