Assistant Project Manager/Engineer

Colliers Project Leaders is actively seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join our Commissioning and Energy Services Team serving the CT region.  As we continue to grow, if you are a professional seeking a new challenge in an exciting environment, this may be the right moment to join our highly respected team as we elevate our presence in this dynamic market.  The Assistant Project Manager is a mid-level position responsible for providing Commissioning services for both new building/major renovation commissioning projects (Cx) and existing building commissioning projects (EBCx) in our core markets which include high end residential, commercial, education, and institutional clients.

Essential Functions: 

Candidates must have a basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for buildings and infrastructure. This position will require the ability to work on site with clients on a regular basis. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Providing Cx/EBCx services, under supervision, through all phases (planning, investigation, implementation, turnover, and persistence);
• Assisting with the management of projects to completion, on-time, within budget, and within scope of work;
• Independently produce reports, summaries, and briefings using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors preferred with at least 3 years of relevant experience and a strong background in the mechanical, electrical, and/or facilities engineering field;
• General technical knowledge of building systems and operations;
• Ability to read/understand technical materials (i.e. drawings, specs, etc.)
• Demonstrated ability to manage various tasks, schedules, and deliverables;
• Enthusiasm to promote and drive implementation of projects;
• Demonstrated experience in problem solving skills, planning and organizing, decision-making;  
• The ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally; and
• The ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills, influencing and leading, facilitation and team work capabilities.
