Primary Location: 2800 E. Spring Creek Parkway, Plano, Texas, 75074 We are searching for candidates that meet the required qualifications and experience and are able to perform the essential duties and responsibilities. Job Summary: Receive and evaluate student petitions districtwide to determine eligibility for graduation. Communicate with degree plan coordinators regarding transfer work, and update students on their eligibility status. Maintain spreadsheets of pending graduates for commencement ceremony preparation. Award degrees, certificates, and other credentials to qualifying candidates for graduation, and send diplomas to eligible graduates. Required Qualifications: Essential Duties and Responsibilities Accountable for knowledge of all college’s requirements for programs of study, graduation requirements, and local, state, and federal regulations related to graduation. Evaluate student petitions districtwide to determine eligibility for graduation. Run program of study audits to determine program requirements, transfer credits evaluated, residency requirement, current GPA, and outstanding course requirements. Update students’ records to appropriate graduation status for the semester of expected graduation. Award degree, certificate, or other credentials to eligible students to post on transcript. Email students with status updates, including outstanding course requirements needed for completion, possible course substitutions, and/or next steps. Communicate with academic coordinators/deans regarding course substitutions. Communicate with degree plan coordinator any transfer work needing to be applied to student record. Report any program of study audit discrepancies to degree plan coordinators and/or assistant manager of student information system. Monitor Graduation email account and respond to inquiries in a timely manner. Run reports to identify candidates for graduation, notify eligible students, and update student record to appropriate graduation status. Maintain spreadsheets of pending graduates for future mailings and graduation preparation, including online petitions, diplomas, and annual commencement ceremony. Assist with annual commencement ceremonies and the review of ceremony program. Prepare official diplomas for graduating students. Communicate with students regarding their graduation status and respond to inquiries in person, by email and over the telephone, in a friendly and professional manner. Perform essential job functions accurately under time pressure and deadlines, while maintaining professionalism and cooperation with co-workers. Requirements Associate degree from an accredited institution and two (2) years of related experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
