Your Role as the Next Client Relations Manager
The Client Relations Manager serves as the liaison between COBS and our Groups partners and is responsible for new customer acquisition, relationship building, sales, and account management. Working closely with the Marketing Manager and Associate Program Director of Groups Programming, this position serves as the primary point of contact for Groups partners.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Sales and Account Management
Generates leads continuously and develops a pipeline for new clients with systematized outreach
Stewards existing partners and manages interactions
Enhances customer relations management by improving database(s) and reporting process
Attends and presents at events and conferences on behalf of COBS, including Colorado- and Utah-based school leadership conferences, professional networking events and higher education opportunity fairs
Determines pricing for Groups programs ranging from day-programs to expeditionary-programs
Initiates and collects signed program agreements from clients
Ensures that partners receive accurate course information in a timely manner, including enrollment materials, contracts, and course information
Reviews course reports and re-establishes program evaluation process that captures client feedback for customer satisfaction and retention purposes
Collaboration
Works with the Program Leadership teams to obtain approval for course dates and lengths, logistics requests, coordinate curriculum, and to secure staffing for proposed programs
Collaborates with the Marketing Manager on website content, outreach automation, lead generation and cultivation
Collaborates with the Director of Student Experience and the Development team on scholarship support and administration for partners
Shares rostering and enrollment management functions with the Associate Program Director of Groups Programming
School and Youth-Serving Organization (YSO) Programs
Manages current portfolio of school clients and programs
Increases client retention and drives growth to meet or exceed tuition revenue goals
Builds Outward Bound brand recognition with schools and key associations
Analyzes current state, develops strategies for enhancing learning transfer and impact, and recommends next steps
Adult, Professional, and Higher Education Programs
Responsible for maintaining and significantly increasing sales of adult teambuilding and professional development programs to meet or exceed revenue targets
Uses knowledge of sales process to work with managers and decision makers to assess the needs of partners and provide COBS’s solutions aligned with business priorities, initiatives and/or challenges
Prioritize, develop, and lead implementation of market segment-specific outbound sales plans and develops and tracks metrics of success in each step of these plans

Possess a bachelor’s degree or a minimum of four years of relevant experience
Capable of leveraging a range of technologies necessary to support growth in groups programming and daily operations, including Salesforce (Administrator certification preferred), Microsoft Office 365, DocuSign, Asana (or similar online project management and collaboration tool) and video conferencing
Committed to openly sharing and receiving feedback
Fluent in English and Spanish (preferred)
Have existing connections in Colorado- or Utah-based educational institutions (preferred)
Physical Requirements
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

Reporting Structure and Relationships
Serving as a member of the COBS Student Experience team, the Client Relations Manager reports to the Director of Student Experience and partners closely with the Marketing Manager, Associate Program Director of Groups Programming, Associate Program Directors of Training and Development of both the Rocky Mountain Program and the Southwest Program, Program Directors, and the Student Services team. As sales efforts grow, this person might supervise someone in the future.
Compensation and Benefits
Salaried, exempt position. Yearly range: $60,000 - $65,000 based on experience, education level and expertise. We anticipate hiring at $60,000. An additional commission package may become available in subsequent years.
