Operations Support Technician (Dispatch)
This position is classified as a temporary "Hourly" position to support special projects. As such, if hired, you will be considered an at-will, supplemental full-time non-exempt employee. We anticipate this assignment to end no later than December 2024.

How Will You Make an Impact?
Our Dispatch Operations group is the central point of communication at Colorado Springs Utilities for all dispatch functions for electric, gas, water, wastewater, and revenue protection. We are seeking an Operations Support Technician to conduct outbound calls to customers for our Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) deployment project. You will schedule appointments with customers over the phone to complete meter/endpoint installations. Some of the additional ways in which you will make an impact include:
- Answering calls from AMI Endpoint Installers and questions related to customer premises and meter/endpoint information
- Researching field activity and meter/endpoint information in our Customer Care and Billing (CC&B) System
- Using our Work Order Management System to verify work returned to Colorado Springs Utilities
- Contacting customers to schedule appointments for meter/endpoint exchanges
- Interpreting information from and entering data into our Work Order Management System and our CC&B System
Who You Are
- Experience providing administrative or field support
- Ability to perform basic computer functions and utilize Microsoft products (Word, Excel) is valued
- Ability to work well and collaborate effectively with others and provide exceptional customer service through a variety of channels
