WHO WE ARE: Colorado Tech Shop is a small but fast growing contract manufacturing company based in Longmont. We are a family run business and like to foster a comfortable and respectful work environment where each team member is appreciated and valued. We are looking for an experienced Quality Control Inspector/Specialist for mechanical assembly products, working with one of our premier clients at their Longmont location. Position would start right away, $20.00 to $23.00/hr, based on experience and shift. This is for FIRST shift position (7am -3:30pm). We offer paid time off, holiday pay, health insurance, quarterly bonuses and raises every 6 months!

JOB DESCRIPTION: The candidate will be responsible for working on site with one of our premier clients (Matheson Tri Gas) at their Longmont facility, as a long term contractor. As a Quality Control Inspector I, you'll be using your skills and expertise to ensure that their incoming parts, in-process production, and shipped product fulfill all quality requirements. You'll be responsible for visually inspecting the materials, parts, and products at different stages of production, as well as recording observations and making recommendations for improving processes. You'll inspect for structural flaws, internal defects, or missing welds, and accept, reject, or request rework of defective or malfunctioning units or systems. You'll apply, revise, and maintain the quality standards for receiving, in-process and final inspection. Some of this work will be done in a clean room environment.

You will be working on state of the art electro-mechanical designs with a talented and easy-to-work with staff in a wonderful facility, where you are treated like a valued member of a small team and not just a number.

This position requires you to be very detail oriented, possess keen visual acuity, have a strong mechanical aptitude and have knowledge of quality control and basic production processes. Dependability and punctuality are also key factors, along with precision and dedication.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- Must be able to pass a detailed background check – This is critical

- Some experience working as a Quality Control Specialist for Mechanical Assembly (No PCB’s)

- Must have good work ethic and be comfortable standing for extended periods of time

- General mechanical abilities

- Comfortable working with hand tools and power tools

- Read and interpret drawings, work instructions and controlled documents

- Experience working in a manufacturing environment

- Self motivated and very dependable, we take attendance seriously

- High School Diploma or GED

- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment

- Ability to foster a close working relationship with other team members and with

management

- Ability to follow directives from shop floor management and stay on task

- Very good verbal and written communication

- Personable and professional demeanor

- Great attention to detail
