The Caliber Public Safety Product Manager will be the subject matter expert working closely with our customers, partners, research and development, sales, and marketing teams to provide thought leadership to create safer communities and innovative solutions for public safety users. What your impact will be: Ownership and accountability for the end-to-end public safety product suite and portfolio. Develop and maintain a comprehensive public safety product strategy in coordination with the various internal and external stakeholders Evaluate and recommend public safety solution providers in support of build, buy, or partner decisions Execute on the product vision and development of supporting business cases for next generation public safety solutions, priority services and enablement platforms; support through all stages of ideation, funding, design, execution. Assess and maintain competitive intelligence on the Public Safety market, potential partners and competitors’ products. Track and analyze performance, compose analytical insights to identify opportunities for change or investment. Promote and support innovation and ideation throughout the organization. Regularly meet with customers to validate assumptions, understand needs, and find opportunities for innovation and new solutions. Supervise and grow a small team of product business analysts. DEFINITION OF RESPONSIBILITY Under general supervision, directs and leads the delivery of highly complex Public Safety applications and systems, which includes leadership of multiple dependent projects across multiple functional areas and technology platforms. What we expect: Subject Matter Expert (SME) on software solutions and capabilities of Public Safety systems. Responsible for product oversight, including planning, directing, and product direction. Leads meetings with Customer Advisory Boards (CABs), internal stakeholders, and leadership to understand business goals, priorities, and solution needs, including participation in business requirements definition. Develops strategy, approach, and implementation plans required to achieve necessary outcomes. Facilitates the creation of business cases, product roadmaps, and definition of done. Identifies, tracks, and manages release level risks and issues. Serves as escalation point to resolve critical product issues, remove roadblocks, formulate contingency plans, and communicate statuses. Functions as central point of product communication and status for stakeholders and management. Communications are professional, timely, and clear and present the correct level of information based on audience. Directs the application of various technical disciplines such as process improvement, data analysis, architectural review, quality assurance and facilitation. Provides objective advice, expertise and leadership support to development team members with the aim of creating value, driving work, and delivering to business expectations. Accountable for adherence to established delivery standards and industry best practices to ensure successful product delivery leads to the overall strategic goals being achieved. Solicit input and build trust/buy-in across all functional teams. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field. At least (4) four years' experience in systems analysis, program management, system requirements or product management. What will make you stand out Knowledge of and experience with Public Safety systems such as CAD, Mobile, and RMS. Experience delivering cloud-based and premise-based products. Proven analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and presentation skills, verbal and written, as well as ability to communicate complex ideas to non-technical personnel. Strong organization and time management skills: Operates independently with minimal guidance. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with people from all levels of an organization. Ability to build relationships with and influence other functional areas. Ability to build consensus. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Team Foundation Server, Microsoft Project and Microsoft Visio. Experience with Aha, Jira, and confluence a plus.
