What are the responsibilities and job description for the Network/IT Specialist position at COLSA?
This position provides the following support for the Nuclear Weapons Acquisition Division, AFNWC/NDB which is co-located with the Armament Directorate at Eglin AFB, FL. The Nuclear Weapons Acquisition Division has responsibility for developing, testing, and producing systems and components related to nuclear strategic weapon systems for our nation's warfighters. This position includes providing the following support:
- Provide support and assistance in the development and management of acquisition program related network systems;
- Adhere to all applicable documentation requirements to perform certification of unclassified, classified and/or SAP network systems as applicable;
- Provide continuous client support and integration of the IM support staff throughout customer organizations;
- Assist with development, coordination, and implementation of short and long-term strategies, which plan for the reliable and secure operation, evolution, and growth of the automation hardware and software infrastructure as well as the life-cycle management of all system resources;
- Meet and work with other Government, military, and civilian agencies (including other Government Contractors) for project planning and facilitation of IM requirements. The Contractor shall not represent the Government at such meetings;
- Provide data management services to include optical scanning, file indexing and archiving, backup and document destruction;
- Perform scanning tasks for all program documents, to include the routine day-to-day operation of NT-based scanning and retrieval systems;
- Perform associated scanning tasks: preparing all documents for input (e.g., removal of document bindings, staples, etc.); scanning documents; bar-coding or manual data entry for indexing documents; performing quality control; reassembling the documents, returning them to either the original owner or to a storage site as determined by COR; and shredding close-out documents when necessary. Ensure periodic preventive maintenance is performed on the scanning
- Assist with the maintenance of functional and reliable telecommunication services for customer programs. Telecommunications support shall encompass phone (including classified Secure Telephone Unit/Secure Telephone Equipment/Voice over IP (STU III/STE/vIPer/SVOIP) phones), fax, voicemail, viewmail/viewfax, VTC and desktop VTC, and overhead projection services. The Contractor shall also assist by researching, testing, evaluating, and implementing, as required, new technology to fulfill the current and future needs and expectations of the programs

With IAT Level III certification
- Bachelor's degree in relevant degree field 8 years relevant experience
- Master's degree in relevant degree field 3 years relevant experience
Without IAT Level III certification
- Bachelor's degree in relevant degree field 10 years relevant experience
- Master's degree in relevant degree field 8 years relevant experience
- Minimum of IAT Level II Certification required
- Active TOP SECRET clearance is required.
