About the Role:
A commercial portfolio manager manages and takes full ownership for a predetermined portfolio of existing client relationships, actively assists relationship managers with client marketing and underwriting complex loan requests and provides exemplary service to internal and external clients. They do not have sales goals but may have retention or credit quality improvement goals for the portfolio.
- Facilitate * Manage entire loan portfolio including preparing renewals and modifications, term loan reviews, construction loan reports, and asset quality reports.
- Effectively manage adversely risk rated loans in the portfolio\
- Focus on retaining valued customers and exiting certain problem loans.
- Work as a team with relationship managers to source new business.
- Perform new credit underwriting for relationship managers for the most complex loan requests.
- Present quarterly status updates of problem loans to the Bank's Problem Loan Committee.
- Financial monitoring/reporting and covenant compliance/quarterly risk ratings
- Ensure all bank loan documentation is accurate and the Bank's security interest in collateral is perfected
- Ongoing loan administration, file maintenance and collection of financials
- Ensure all bank loan files both hardcopy and digital are updated, organized, and complete
- Perform a multitude of written and verbal communication tasks ensure completion of all assigned projects product training via webinar for new treasury management customers. Provide any technical support during the training to install drivers/software. Assist with file mapping and other complex product needs.
- Responsible for providing ongoing technical support for treasury management products and services which can be complex in nature. Troubleshoot file mapping and advise on necessary changes.
- Demonstrate compliance with all bank regulations that apply to your position and keep up to date on regulation changes.
- Maintain working knowledge of our policies and procedures regarding the Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security, and other regulations that apply to your position.
- May be asked to coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as subject matter expert.
About You:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field or equivalent experience.
- Five years of commercial banking experience or other relevant experience
- In-depth understanding and ability to interpret accounting literature, regulations, practice, and theory, as well as ability to apply this knowledge to day-to-day activities.
- Ability to engage and develop relationships with all internal bank departments
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Effective team player
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Strong understanding of bank credit policies and procedures
Our Benefits:
We offer a competitive total rewards package including base wages and comprehensive benefits. The pay range for this role is $69,000.00-$152,000.00, and the pay rate for the selected candidate is dependent upon a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, education, and geographic location. The role may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation and those details will be provided during the recruitment process.
