Core Responsibilities
- Maintains the highest standards of product usability and design quality and takes the lead role in art direction of specific projects, ensuring that projects are assigned and delivered on deadline.
- Manages and leads a team of UEX Designers, Front End Developers, Information Architects, Content Developers, Usability Analysts and augmented consultants.
- Drives the design and development of innovative user interfaces and interaction styles which result in improved user productivity, discoverability and simplicity.
- Contributes to developing a long term UEX vision designed to bring about innovative, consumer-focused experiences that meet business, project and design goals.
- Oversees UI initiatives and ensures recommendations are appropriately shared to help inform web strategies and designs, with a view on improving the user experience.
- Improves efficiency and legitimacy of organizational operation by establishing and tracking performance metrics.
- Manages outside vendors, contractors and related budgets.
- Expert in the application of development methodologies that supports collaborative, iterative and improved design.
- Ensures a positive, collaborative cross-functional atmosphere and process across all of Comcast with specific attention on the UEX cross-discipline teams.
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
