Fixed Assets Manager

• Manage daily fixed assets processes to ensure accounting procedures performed by team occurs accurately and within a timely manner.
• Review asset capitalizations stemming from monthly project clearings for accurate asset capitalization and classification.
• Review asset retirements and transfers for accuracy, including annual analyses to support retirement and/or impairment assessments.
• Review monthly and quarterly Fixed Assets reporting and perform variance analyses for Fixed Assets accounts.
• Oversee the fixed asset internal control environment and compliance with fixed asset policies and procedures. Stays current on fixed asset accounting trends and standards.
• Manage, lead, & develop team of four analysts: to include effectively delegating tasks, cross-training skillsets and collaborating with management on Accounting Department employee development initiatives.

Fixed Assets Systems and Project Coordinator

• Oversee effective data elements and integrations used by asset-related subledgers and General Ledger systems through coordination with Accounting Systems Manager, Accounts Payable Manager & other business process owners.
• Collaborate with business partners in operational departments to ensure effective project accounting and reporting exists within the project accounting subledger
• Partner with Business Finance Systems support to complete annual fixed asset system testing and any additional testing that may arise.
• Accounting systems, policies and procedures - make and implement recommendations which result in improvements to the integrity and quality of the financial statements along with the efficiency of the department.

General Accounting Specialist

• Assists the Accounting Manager with monthly journal entry review and various account analyses, as needed.
• Assist with expense management initiatives, by reviewing occupancy and equipment-related spend analyses and maintaining relevant policies.
• Assist the Financial Reporting department by providing monthly and quarterly reporting schedules, as needed.

Fixed Assets Business Partner Liaison

• Monitors the relationship with internal and external audit groups.
• Meet with internal and external audit regarding control procedures pertaining to fixed asset lifecycle controls – ensure the overall maintenance of pertinent evidence substantiating procedures performed.
• Partner and collaborate with internal stakeholders (IT, Real Estate, Retail) to resolve issues.
• Partner with the Tax department on any necessary tax asset projects or tax reform impacting assets.

• Bachelor's degree in Business from an accredited university with an emphasis in accounting or finance

• 4 years of experience in accounting operations, such as Fixed Assets or General Accounting

• 1 year of experience or responsibility for training or directing others

• CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certified

• Preferred experience with accounting system process changes, system upgrades, implementations and/or configurations
