What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hotel Front Desk Clerk position at Comfort Inn?

JOB SUMMARY
Check in and check out hotel guests courteously and efficiently; process all payments according to established hotel requirements. Provide information to any guest or visitor inquiry.

JOB DUTIES
Arrive at scheduled start time in appropriate uniform and ready for work.
Provide prompt service and actively seek opportunities to drive Guest satisfaction.
Ensure the team is kept fully aware of any relevant feedback from either the Guests or other departments.
Manage, resolve or escalate any and all Guest issues quickly and efficiently; follow-up as needed to ensure guest satisfaction.
Work with all facilities and services provided within the hotel and identify opportunities for up-selling and promoting new or ongoing events.
Advise team of any special events or VIP Guests in the hotel for events or for general accommodations.
Ensure a high level of product knowledge of the hotel and the local area and be aware of the daily hotel event schedule.
Watch for safety hazards and report them immediately to your Supervisor/Manager.
Attend all mandatory Department and Hotel meetings.
Complete all required training within time frame allotted.
Act in accordance with fire, health and safety regulations and follow the correct procedures as required.
Perform other duties as directed, developed or assigned.
Support environmental commitments by acquiring the knowledge, skills and values to be a leader in the global goal of "greening" the hospitality industry

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 18 years of age
High school graduate or equivalent
Must meet grooming standards
Able to demonstrate high energy and a passion to serve
Able to work with little or no supervision
Previous cash handling experience required
Previous hotel/resort experience required
Able to work as part of a team
Possesses strong attention to detail
Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms
Able to work on your feet for extended periods of time
Willingness to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays

**Shifts will vary between 7AM-3PM & 3PM-11PM, 11PM TO 7AM both weekend & weekday availability required.**

Job Types: Temporary, Seasonal, Internship, Part-time, Full-time

Pay: $11.00 - $13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
