Essential Functions of Our Caregivers Are:
- Providing personalized attention to clients with non-medical needs in accordance with an established Plan of Care.
- Providing companionship for the client including, but not limited to: talking, listening, reading aloud, games, activities and providing emotional support.
- Promoting the client's mental alertness through involvement, inclusion and promoting a sense of well-being.
- Providing for a clean, safe, and healthy environment for clients.
- Observing and reporting any changes in the client's mental, physical and emotional condition as well as monitoring their home situation and reporting these to immediate supervisor in a timely manner.
- Ensuring client's safety in a comfortable home setting where togetherness is the focus.
- Attending paid in-services to learn new skills that you will carry with you throughout life.
Working Environment:
Client setting can be home and or Long-Term Care Community. Contact with blood or other body fluids may pose a risk for exposure to blood borne pathogens and infectious diseases. This company will provide you with all personal protective equipment, training and support to ensure yours and your families are at minimal risk of exposure to COVID-19 during this challenging time.
Qualifications:
- Applicant must be honest, dependable and punctual
- Must have a strong desire to care and nurture others whom cannot care for themselves.
- Applicant must be bondable. This means trustworthy in the event of emergencies, and conduct themselves accordingly.
- Applicant must meet or exceed minimum qualifications for each of the following background checks: Criminal Background Investigation, Motor Vehicle Driving Record, Professional and Personal Reference Checks.
- Applicant must be able to pass drug screening to ensure client safety.
- Must have a VALID driver's license and automobile insurance as well as their own vehicle.
Position Physical Demands:
The work requires light physical exertion on a regular and recurring basis, such as driving, assisting client in activities, transfers/ambulation, and light housekeeping. Regularly required to stand, bend, sit, walk, talk, hear, reach, kneel, and crouch. Lifting only up to 25 pounds is permitted and may be required.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $12.00 - $16.00 per hour
COVID-19 considerations:
Some assignments do require weekly COVID testing at no cost. Before each shift our Caregivers fill out a COVID survey, we provide and require our caregivers to wear masks during their shifts, no exceptions.
