What are the responsibilities and job description for the Diesel Technician position at Coming Soon?
Our shop technician should:
Be on time every day
Work with hand and power tools
Basic understanding of tools and purposes
Basic fundamentals of electrical, hvac, diesel engine, or auto
Have a god attitude and willing to learn and stay positive
Work inside shop with elements we can not control (weather, temperature, etc)
Roles and Responsibilities:
Training in the following areas:
· Customer Service
· Certi -Tech Certifications
· Soldering & Brazing
· Shop organization and triage of down equipment
· A/C & D/C control circuits and fundamentals
· Bus A/C
· Installs all TK product lines
· EPC Parts system
Responsibilities:
· Report to work prepared for the day
· Service customer equipment as scheduled by Service Manager and/or Service Writer
· Maintain communication about repairs with Service Manager, Service Writer and the
Customer
· Keep all certifications current
· Maintain a clean and safe work environment
· Perform all tasks assigned productively and efficiently
· Maintain company vehicles, equipment and tools
· Report deficiencies, faults or broken tools and equipment to your direct supervisor.
· Maintain technician locker room/restroom in a clean and sanitary condition.
· Clean work area and complete work orders after each job assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
High School / GED / Refrigeration Certifications 608 and/or 609
Preferred Skills:
Excel / Word / Customer Service / Service Logistics (DIS)

Advancement:
Technicians will have the opportunity to advance in levels and pay based on job performance and their time invested in training. Each certification level offers a pay increase and the opportunity move up in positions in the service department. The positions are listed respectively in order, Installer, Shop Service Tech, shop certified Tech, Shop Professional Tech, Shop Master Tech, and Road Service Master Tech.
