Southwest Region Intern – Bolivar Market Location
Essential Functions
Commercial Line of Business job shadowing in Bolivar
Market Manager job shadowing in Bolivar; Meetings with Market Managers in Pittsburg, and Joplin
Attend events as scheduled; after hours events, UW Day of Caring, customer appreciation lunches/events, charity/non-profit events, and team get-togethers
Intern established Program Events and Capstone Projects
Southwest Region Line of Business Meetings - Trust, Treasury, Retail, Marketing, TM, Merchant, Brokerage and Mortgage
Will provide a mentor, who will help coordinate events, travel, and additional opportunities
Assist Southwest Region DEI Champion with events and initiatives across the region, including researching opportunities and planning events
Assist Community Market DEI Champions in Central MO, Kansas, and Illinois under the direction of the DEI Champion for the Southwest Region
Provide support for ERG initiatives and activities in the Southwest Region and the other Community Markets
Assist with project to develop centralized event and sponsorship tracking
Perform other duties as assigned
Work Schedule
Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm; with Saturday and evening flexibility for community events
Mostly onsite and external events
Hours not to exceed 40 hours per week including branch activities and Intern Program Events
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
Inquisitive, agile, and strong team player with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values
Intermediate/Advanced level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Education & Experience
High School Diploma/Associate’s degree/Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required
