Responsibilities Under general direction, the Front Desk Lead oversees the coordination and administration of front office activities and is responsible for coding, coordinating, verifying and distributing all billable services.

1. Act as a team lead to schedule work and ensure timely and accurate billing activities.2. Coordinate with clinical staff to obtain charge information for all patients.

3. Act as a resource for Practice Managers and Physicians with denials and coding questions.4. Code procedures performed and diagnosis on charge.

5. Coordinate copies of medical documentation with physician charges to support billing to third-party payers.6. Resolve complex patient billing inquiries and problems.

7. Conduct all functions associated with patient check-out including pricing services, collecting payment and scheduling follow-up appointments.

10. Work with Practice Manager to facilitate training of new hires and other training initiatives.11. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Education and Licensure High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum Experience 4 years billing experience in a health care organization required.

  • 4 years office experience required. Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Demonstrate understanding of health insurance and medical costs, including coding.
  • Requires strong customer skills.* Good communication skills.* Proficient computer skills.* Excellent organizational skills.
  • Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism.* A team player who handles multiple projects simultaneously in a fast paced environment.
