CHI St. Joseph Health provides health care to a 9-county service region. The main service area is Brazos County, while Austin, Burleson, Grimes, Lee, Leon, Madison, Robertson, and Washington counties comprise the secondary market. The total population for the System’s service area is approximately 360,000.
The candidate will join our well-established Hospitalist team. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on clinical excellence and patient satisfaction. Candidate will display exceptional interpersonal skills and desire to develop strong ties with the community and existing medical staff. This position will be inpatient care, working with a 7on/7off schedule.

Job Highlights
- Provide coverage at 2 campuses in Bryan and College Station
- 7 on 7 off
- Open ICU
- Goal for patient load is 16-20
- Great specialty support
- Dedicated roles for admitters and rounders
- Procedures are not required of hospitalists
- Supervise APCs, especially in admitter role

Education/Certifications And Experience Required
- Current clinical competence and adequate volume of current experience documenting the ability to provide services at an acceptable level of quality and efficiency;
- 2 years’ experience in acute care preferred
- Board certified or board eligible through applicable ABSM body
- Current licensure from the Texas Medical Board, preferred
- Additional skills include effective communication and leadership skills, able to facilitate change.
- Orients to physician practice/ patient population including attending and participating in multi-disciplinary rounds; participate in and support accreditation, compliance, and regulatory activities of the organization.
$120.19 - $134.62 /hour
Salary : $120 - $135
