What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr. Associate, Business Process Services position at Commonwealth Care Alliance?
The Business Process Services team provides business support and advisory services throughout the organization. Services of the team include Business Process Management, Business Process Architecture, and Business Process Automation.
We partner with Business Process Owners across the organization to blueprint business processes with an emphasis on an end-to-end view and end-to-end clarity. In doing so, we prepare business processes for performance management, material changes (i.e., projects), technology/system architecture, and data mapping disciplines.
This work can either be part of larger end-to-end engagements to review and optimize business processes, or more targeted support for our internal clients. This role will partner closely with our Business Process Automations team (co-located within Business Process Services and IT) to identify, design, and implement automated solutions to optimize processes through Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and other tools.

What You'll Be Doing:
- Comprehensively manage and deliver assigned engagements, with minimal oversight. Engagement activities may include:
- Scoping and planning engagements
- Developing current state or future state process flow diagrams and protocols
- Developing PowerPoint presentations
- Documenting or maintaining status reports, meeting minutes, issue/risk logs, interview guides, and project plans
- Conducting quantitative and qualitative analyses
- Engaging with cross-functional stakeholders to understand current processes/systems and pain points and elicit detailed business needs of future solutions
- Generating insights and developing recommendations
- Facilitating meetings and engagement-specific workgroups, as needed
- Presenting updates, findings, and recommendations to internal customers, other leadership, and associates at all levels as applicable for assigned engagements
- Managing the day-to-day activities of engagement team members
- Managing (internal) customer relationships throughout the duration of consulting engagements; cultivate and maintain positive working relationships with leadership across the organization
- Actively contribute to team development and internal departmental improvements.
- Leveraging the tools of Business Process Management to support the development and optimization of business processes through standardization, documentation, accountability, performance management, and continuous assessment and improvement
- Share and reinforce disciplines of Business Process Management, including supporting the training of new and emerging business process owners
What We're Looking For:
Education Required:
- Bachelor's degree required
Education /Certification Desired:
- Master's degree strongly preferred.
- Lean Six Sigma Certification Preferred
Experience Required:
- 5-7 years of relevant business experience, including 2 or more years of demonstrated experience in a consulting, process improvement, and/or project management role
- Demonstrated progression of leadership, responsibility, knowledge, and experience
- Demonstrated experience defining and managing a business process improvement project/engagement
- Demonstrated experience managing and coaching others especially within a project environment
- Demonstrated project management experience
Experience Desired:
- Health plan experience preferred
