DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Clerk Typist 2, you will serve as the main receptionist for the agency. You will have the opportunity to greet visitors and answer any questions they may have. Work includes data entry, completing paperwork and forms, as well as compiling packets for administrative personnel and caseworkers. Additional responsibilities may include mail distribution, re-stocking forms, and various administrative tasks to ensure efficient operations throughout the office.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • Six months as a Clerk Typist 1 and educational development to the level of eighth grade; or
  • Completion of a high school business curriculum which included at least one typing course; or
  • Any combination of equivalent experience and training.

  • Hiring preference for this vacancy may be given to candidates who live within Berks, Dauphin, Lancaster, Lebanon, or Schuylkill counties. If no eligible candidates who live within these counties apply for this position, candidates who reside in other counties may be considered.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
